Hailing from Saarbrücken, Germany, all started when songwriter & frontman Kai Barbian (guitar, vox) got his mates Jean-Marc Gerhards (drums) and Pascal Schmolenzky (bass) together and that’s their story… well, not exactly… a liquid lie: Originally they started as a four piece, but 60 days prior to their first gig, they lost their good mate and incredible lead guitarist to real life and work – that kind of stuff. Now suddenly as a trio, they regroup and rewrite their entire setlist in a fever rush of weeks, shaping their songs, sound and swagger, finally culminating in an explosive sold-out debut show that exceeded everyone’s expectations – even their mum and dad’s!
Now Liquid Lies are ready, on fire, just got their first gig and recordings under their buckle and they’re in for it all, if it comes!
